Money well spent here. I did a lot of research and found this to be well worth the money. Don’t waste your money on Amazon wire strippers. I’ve stripped over a mile of wire with this and it cuts the jackets like the first day of use. I even put quite a bit of 450 mcm through it and it was an amazing clean cut.

I have had the original Stripmeister, the one thats drill powered, for several years. It’s been a solid stripper for me, but I recently upgraded to the E250. The difference is huge. The feed mechanism on the new one is so much better. Once I get it set,I can just keep feeding wire. So much faster.

Where can I check the fuse on the StripMeister E250?

To check the fuse on the StripMeister E250 follow these 4 easy steps:

  1. Unplug the StripMeister E250
  2. Remove the drive cover
  3. Remove the 4 M3 screws 
  4. Lift the cover carefully up and on the back side is the fuse

If the fuse needs to be replaced:

To replace the StripMeister E250 fuse you will need a T8A Ceramic Cylinder, Time-Lag, 250VAC/UL/CSA, 5x20mm Fuse (Allied Electronic #70160407). You can find the fuse by clicking this link.

How to stop the wire from slipping to the side when stripping?

When you are stripping wire if the wire is slipping to the side it is normally not at the correct angle.  We have a great setup video to stop the slipping of wire and you can find it by clicking this link.  

What type of maintenance is required on the StripMeister E250?

Maintenance

To ensure smooth operation of your StripMeister E250 we recommend a maintenance of the following:
Make sure the machine is unplugged before performing any maintenance

1. Check oil level on the gear box monthly.
Before checking the oil, make sure the gear box is not hot. If oil is visible when the screw is removed from Oil filler hole on the gear box, the unit is still full. If not visible top up with manufacturers recommended gear oil (ISO VG320 or Petro of China CN320) until full.

I recently bought the StripMeister E250 model and was wondering if it came with gear oil already in it or if I had to buy my own before I could use it?

All of our machines come ready to use out of the box. Unpack your StripMeister and plug it in and begin stripping.

What type of grease should I use on my StripMeister E250?

We only use one type of grease on our StripMeister machines and the grease can be found at any local hardware store.  The type of grease we use is a general purpose white grease that is low odor, non staining, NLGI grade 2 grease.

What is the most recommend way to secure the device to strip wire?

We recommend using the provided hardware to fasten your StripMeister to a work bench or table.

Can the StripMeister E250 strip Cat 5, Cat 6 or telephone wire?

Cat 5, Cat 5 and telephone wire are normally 22 and 20 gauge wire making it too small for the StripMeister E250 to strip. The smallest wire size the StripMeister E250 can do is #18 gauge wire.

How is the StripMeister E250 blade manufactured?

The StripMeister E250 blade is CNC machined.

What is the StripMeister E250 blade made of?

The StripMeister E250’s blade is made from heat treated and hardened tool steel for unbeatable quality.

How long will it take to receive my StripMeister E250?

    Excellent product. Pulled it out of the box, clamped it to a table and started stripping immediately. We are using this in our heavy equipment repair shop to strip wires we pull from equipment and separate them for proper disposal. The adjustable speed and multiple size feed holes work excellent. We have stripped everything from 4/0 cable to 2ga cable, 12 and 14 gauge stranded and solid wires as well. We have also used this to strip off the rubber jacket from multiple wire cords and get to the wires inside. This is by far many steps above anything else you will find out there in the market. I would seriously challenge you to find a better stripper than this for the price.

    I’ve used the E250 for 2 weekends now, stripped about 40lb of copper wire from solid to heavy stranded, from 2ga to 20ga and it took all I could run thru it. I am very impressed with the performance! The craftsmanship and design of the machine is excellent! I fully dissembled, cleaned and reassembled the stripper like cleaning a gun and it was very easy. It took me about 10 hours to strip the 40lb that I had. Most of it was multi conductor power cord, like extension cords, so they needed to be stripped 4 times for a 3 conductor cord, a little more time consuming having to deal with all the, what I was calling wire chaff, the strings that support the conductors. The E250 is the perfect size machine for the small scrapper or garage scrapper, like me. Well worth the investment!

    We would normally save our wire and strip it once a year to take in. That led to barrels of wire being stored that we don’t have the room to store. After receiving the stripper (E250) we got started stripping and what amounted to a day or 2 of stripping was done in less than 1/2 a day. No cut or sore hands. We normally would only strip large gauge wire since the smaller was to time consuming. We now strip it all , Easily and quickly and as soon as we have it so not to have to store it anymore. This is a well built , smooth and quiet running machine. Only wish I had found and purchased long ago. Shipping was quick and packaged well also. Well worth the money
