The best tool money that I have spent in a very long time. The unit is very well built and functions better than I could have ever imagined. 3,289 pounds of copper stripped in less than 8 hours. I stripped everything from #10 THHN to 600 KCMIL. I found that if the unit is bolted to a solid and mostly immovable table, it will pull from small reels easily, all you you have to do is pull the jacket off of the wire. An EXCELLENT product.

This product is fantastic. This was a gift to my boyfriend for Christmas. He had an accident earlier this year when he was hand stripping wire and when the knife slipped and he slice open his knee. This is much safer, it works when it is cold outside and is much, much quicker. Thank you for a fantastic product. It was also delivered very quickly.

I have owned the E1000 for about 30 days now and stripped 3500 lbs of copper. It has more than payed for its self. As a small electrical contractor I wish we would have made this purchase years ago. I had a good bit of 4/0 xhhw (thick insulation) that we demoed from a project so that is mostly what I have stripped. These were 100′-150′ runs. I was able to help the unit feed by pulling and peeling the insulation in one motion. Worked well to strip other sizes as well, tested from 6 thhn to 500mcm. On the lager sizes short pices work best and running it through twice once on either side makes it easier to peel the insulation. All of this was done with the original knife that came on the unit and it still looks like new. All I can say is if you are look for a well crafted stripper to increase your profits this is it. The only con would be with newer slicker insulation at larger size and long lengths could cause a feed issue due to weight and grip, but would be an easy fix with a helper to feed the wire to the unit.

I bought a different brand several years ago and spent more time adjusting, unclogging etc than it was worth. The StripMeister works great. No problems and no learning curve, I’ve got my young warehouse employee using it right now. Would recommend this product to anyone for any size wire.

I bought this to strip a pile of large DLO cable scrap which was too large for my E350. E1000 exceeded my expectations and paid for itself in the first use. Great unit, and I’m hard to please.

Amazing stripper, bought this E1000 early on in my career as a second year apprentice with the IBEW Local #237. Within an hour I stripped 750mcm, 500mcm, and a bunch of 8awg and 10awg wire I have been saving for quite some time (too lazy to want to strip it). Bottom line, this is an investment that has already paid for itself 2x already within the my first use. Look forward to my future in the electrical industry and the wire $$$ to come. Where do I grease on my StripMeister E1000?

On the StripMeister E1000 there are 3 grease nipples. The first 2 are in the back of the machine on the knife carriage and these are for the knife slider. The other grease nipple is on the side of the StripMeister E1000 above the Caution sign. To see precisely where these nipples on the StripMeister E1000 is please consult page 6 of the StripMeister E1000 owners manual.

What type of grease should I use on my StripMeister E1000?

We only use one type of grease on our StripMeister machines and the grease can be found at any local hardware store.  The type of grease we use is a general purpose white grease that is low odor, non staining, NLGI grade 2 grease.

How to stop the wire from slipping to the side when stripping?

When you are stripping wire if the wire is slipping to the side it is normally not at the correct angle.  We have a great setup video to stop the slipping of wire and you can find it by clicking this link.  

Where can I check the fuse on the StripMeister E1000?

To check the fuse on the StripMeister E1000 follow these 4 easy steps:

  1. Unplug the StripMeister E1000
  2. Locate the panel below the power button. 
  3. Remove the 4 M3 screws 
  4. The fuse will be located directly inside.

If the fuse needs to be replaced:

To replace the StripMeister E1000 takes a 10A Ceramic Cylinder, Non-Resettable, Time-Lag, 250VAC, 5x20mm Fuse (Allied Electronic #70160162). You can find the fuse by clicking this link.

What is the most recommend way to secure the device to strip wire?

We recommend using the provided hardware to fasten your StripMeister to a work bench or table.

Can the StripMeister E1000 strip cloth cable?

With there being so many different types of wire out there you will find that the StripMeister E1000 can strip a large majority of wire. We have tested Southwire cloth coated cable that is 750KCMIL with an OD of ~1.3′ and the thickness of the insulation jacket was ~0.2″ . The StripMeister E1000 stripped this wire with no problems.

Can the StripMeister E1000 strip Cat 5, Cat 6 or telephone wire?

Cat 5, Cat 5 and telephone wire are normally 22 and 20 gauge wire making it too small for the StripMeister E1000 to strip. The smallest wire size the StripMeister E1000 can do is #18 gauge wire.

Does the StripMeister E1000 require a 20 amp 120 volt receptacle for it’s feed?

How long will it take to receive my StripMeister E1000?

We utilize a network of carriers to get your StripMeister the quickest to your location. You should receive your StripMeister within  5 to 7 business days.  

Can the StripMeister E1000 run on 220 Volts?

The StripMeister E1000 can run on 220 Volts without any other needed configuration from StripMeister. Because the plug is regularly different for 220 volts you will need an adapter for the StripMeister.

    I bought the smaller manual version that uses a battery drill years ago and had been using it until I purchased this model. It’s amazing how much wire we can strip.
