Where can I check the fuse on the StripMeister E1000?
To check the fuse on the StripMeister E1000 follow these 4 easy steps:
- Unplug the StripMeister E1000
- Locate the panel below the power button.
- Remove the 4 M3 screws
- The fuse will be located directly inside.

To replace the StripMeister E1000 takes a 10A Ceramic Cylinder, Non-Resettable, Time-Lag, 250VAC, 5x20mm Fuse (Allied Electronic #70160162). You can find the fuse by clicking this link.

How to stop the wire from slipping to the side when stripping?
When you are stripping wire if the wire is slipping to the side it is normally not at the correct angle. We have a great setup video to stop the slipping of wire and you can find it by clicking this link.

Can the StripMeister E1000 strip Cat 5, Cat 6 or telephone wire?
Cat 5, Cat 5 and telephone wire are normally 22 and 20 gauge wire making it too small for the StripMeister E1000 to strip. The smallest wire size the StripMeister E1000 can do is #18 gauge wire.

Can the StripMeister E1000 strip cloth cable?
With there being so many different types of wire out there you will find that the StripMeister E1000 can strip a large majority of wire. We have tested Southwire cloth coated cable that is 750KCMIL with an OD of ~1.3′ and the thickness of the insulation jacket was ~0.2″ . The StripMeister E1000 stripped this wire with no problems.

What is the most recommend way to secure the device to strip wire?
We recommend using the provided hardware to fasten your StripMeister to a work bench or table.

What type of grease should I use on my StripMeister E1000?
We only use one type of grease on our StripMeister machines and the grease can be found at any local hardware store. The type of grease we use is a general purpose white grease that is low odor, non staining, NLGI grade 2 grease.

Where do I grease on my StripMeister E1000?
On the StripMeister E1000 there are 3 grease nipples. The first 2 are in the back of the machine on the knife carriage and these are for the knife slider. The other grease nipple is on the side of the StripMeister E1000 above the Caution sign. To see precisely where these nipples on the StripMeister E1000 is please consult page 6 of the StripMeister E1000 owners manual.

Oh, man. This thing is Awesome. I got the Stripmeister E1000 because it had the 1/2hp motor and the amount of 500mcm and 750 cu we strip. It’s much safer than dragging a skinning knife across the wire and a heck of a lot faster. Once you get it dialed in to what you are working with, Life is much easier. Thumbs Up Stripmeister.

Originally I purchased the “original” model.
Recently I upgraded to the “1000”
I love both models, but i really love the 1000 because I can have the motor running at different RPM constantly.
The motor is very quiet to the point that I have to check if I turned it on.
